Eastbourne Mile Night is back for its third edition — and we’re returning to a Friday evening! Join us on what we hope will be a warm and exciting May night of racing, atmosphere, and community. A fun, inclusive, and electric evening of mile races. Whether you're chasing a PB, new to the track, or cheering from the sidelines, everyone aged 11+ is welcome, with seeded heats catering for all abilities from 4 to 14 minutes.

What to Expect

  • Multiple seeded mile races
  • Photo-finish timing
  • DJ and live commentary
  • Free photos
  • Pizza truck and refreshments
  • Spectators invited into lane 4 for a vibrant atmosphere
  • Pacers in selected heats (get in touch if you'd like to help pace)

Seeding is based on what you type in the QP box, please enter a realistic estimate when booking.

Entry Fees

  • £11 – England Athletics licensed runners
  • £13 – Unaffiliated runners

We realise it's super early to commit before the dates below but if you are keen discounts are available.

Super Earlybird Discount: £3 off until 31 August 2025
Earlybird Discount: £2 off until 31 December 2025

Entries are treated as donations so are not refundable.

Prizes

We’re a fundraiser first and foremost, but we’ve worked hard to offer a few incentives:

£20 prize and trophy for the winner in each of the following age categories (male and female): U20, SEN, V40, V50, V60, V70

£100 Track Record Bonus

Thanks to a rollover from 2025, a £100 bonus will go to whoever sets the new records at the end the night. Current Eastbourne track records:

  • Men's record: 4:19.08
  • Women's record: 4:54.36

*WA shoe rules apply for track record attempts.

All proceeds from this event go towards the upkeep and long-term sustainability of Eastbourne’s athletics track. By taking part, you’re helping to preserve our town’s track for future generations.
