The U20 3000m Championships will take place in the Christmas Classic event on the 15th December 2024: Cardiff Met Christmas Classic

ALL U13 & U15 ATHLETES CAN ONLY TAKE PART IN 3 EVENTS ON ONE DAY UNDER UK RULES AND ONLY 1 DISTANCE EVENT ON EACH DAY.

NON WELSH athletes can only take part in the U20 age group events, ANY NON WELSH U17 athletes will be moved up to U20 group after entries close

To be Welsh eligible you must be affiliated to a Welsh club (1st claim) OR Welsh eligible through birth, residence or parentage.

U13 athletes will run time trials in the 800m and 1500m, medallists will be the fastest three athletes over the required time trials. There will not be heats to finals.

Saturday 1st. TRACK: 60m, 1500m, 60m Hurdles. FIELD: Long Jump
Sunday 2nd. TRACK: 200m, 800m, 1k Walk. FIELD: High Jump, Shot Put

U13G Events
Saturday 1st. TRACK: 60m, 1500m, 60m Hurdles. FIELD: Shot Put.
Sunday 2nd. TRACK: 200m, 800m, 1k Walk. FIELD: High Jump, Long Jump

U15B Events
Saturday 1st. TRACK: 60m, 300m, 1500m, 60m Hurdles. FIELD: Pole Vault, Triple Jump, Shot Put
Sunday 2nd. TRACK: 200m, 800m, 3000m, 3k Walk. FIELD: High Jump, Long Jump.

U15G Events
Saturday 1st. TRACK: 60m, 300m, 1500m, 60m Hurdles. FIELD: Pole Vault, Triple Jump.
Sunday 2nd. TRACK: 200m, 800m, 3000m, 3k Walk. FIELD: High Jump, Long Jump, Shot Put

U20M Events
Saturday 1st. TRACK: 60m, 400m, 1500m, 60m Hurdles. FIELD: Pole Vault, Triple Jump, Shot Put
Sunday 2nd. TRACK: 200m, 800m, 3k Walk. FIELD: High Jump, Long Jump.

U20W Events
Saturday 1st. TRACK: 60m, 400m, 1500m, 60m Hurdles. FIELD: Pole Vault, Triple Jump.
Sunday 2nd. TRACK: 200m, 800m, 3K Walk. FIELD: High Jump, Long Jump, Shot Put

Ambulant/Para Only (Please Note: Ambulant athletes are athletes with classifications)

Sunday 2nd. TRACK: None FIELD: Shot Put

To qualify as Welsh for the Age group championships an athlete must be registered to a Welsh Athletics club or be affiliated to a different home nation governing body AND be Welsh Eligible.

All members shall be deemed to have made him/herself familiar with and agreed to be bound by the UKA Anti-Doping Rules and to submit to the authority of UK Anti-Doping in the application and enforcement of the Anti-Doping Rules. 

The UKA Anti-Doping Rules apply to all members participating in Athletics for a minimum of 12 months from the commencement of membership, whether or not the member is a citizen of, or resident in, the UK. 

Any athlete wishing to retire from the sport of athletics must put this in writing to the club and England Athletics and cancel any applicable membership. Official retirement will remove the athlete from being under the auspices of UKA’s anti-doping rules.
