SOUTH WALES & EAST WALES JOINT REGIONAL T&F CHAMPIONSHIPS

Championships for 1000m Walk and 1500m/2000m Steeplechase incorporated into the West Wales Championships at Swansea.

AGE GROUPS
U13 = Year 6 & 7, U15 = Year 8 & 9, U17 = Year 10 & 11

EVENT TRIALS
U13B, U13G, U15B. U15G. U17M & U17W 3 trials in field events except PV

U20 & Senior all have 3+3 trials

East Wales = (EWA), South Wales = (SWA)

East Wales
(A) Birth: If born in Blaenau Gwent, Newport, Monmouthshire, Torfaen, Powys and Caerphilly
(B) Residence: If have been resident, (9 months) continuously in East Wales since August 1st 2023
(C) Retention: If having qualified under (b) or (c), they retain the qualification until they acquire residential qualification and compete in the championships of another Welsh region or an English county AND They have not taken part in a different Welsh Regional or English County Championships and not represented another Welsh Region or and English County in an Inter-Regional or Inter County event since October 1st 2023

South Wales     
(A) Birth: If born in one of the five administrative counties of Bridgend, Cardiff, Merthyr Tydfil, Rhondda Cynon Taff and the Vale of Glamorgan or in the former Mid Glamorgan section of Caerphilly (previous selected athletes only)
(B) Residence: If have been resident, (9 months) continuously in South Wales since August 1st 2023
(C) Retention: If having qualified under (b) or (c), they retain the qualification until they acquire residential qualification and compete in the championships of another Welsh region or an English county AND They have not taken part in a different Welsh Regional or English County Championships and not represented another Welsh Region or and English County in an Inter-Regional or Inter County event since October 1st 2023

EVENTS FOR AGE GROUPS:-  PLEASE NOTE U13 & U15 CAN ONLY RUN 1 DISTANCE EVENT IN 1 DAY OF COMPETITION.
U13B & U13G:
SAT 11th 200m, 800m, Shot Put, discus.
SUN 12TH 100m, U13G 70m Hurdles, U13B 75m Hurdles, 1500m, High Jump, Long Jump. Javelin.
U15B & U15G:-
SAT 11th 200m, 300m, 800m, 3000m, Shot, Discus, Hammer.
SUN 12TH 100m, 1500m, 75m Hurdles, 80m Hurdles, High Jump, Pole Vault Long Jump, Javelin
U17M & U17W:-
SAT 11TH 200m, 300m, 400m, 800m, 3000m, Shot, Discus, Hammer.
SUN 12TH 100m, 1500m, 80m Hdl, 100m Hdl, 300m Hdl, 400m Hdl, Steeplechase, High Jump, Pole Vault, Long Jump, Javelin. 
U20 & Senior:
SAT 11TH 200m, 300m, 400m, 800m, 3000m, Shot, Discus, Hammer.
SUN 12TH 100m, 1500m, 80m Hdl, 100m Hdl, 300m Hdl, 400m Hdl, Steeplechase, High Jump, Pole Vault, Long Jump, Javelin.

All entrants shall be deemed to have made him/herself familiar with and agreed to be bound by the UKA Anti-Doping Rules and to submit to the authority of UK Anti-Doping in the application and enforcement of the Anti-Doping Rules.

The UKA Anti-Doping Rules apply to entrants participating in the sport of Athletics, for 12 months from the date of entry, whether or not the entrant is a citizen of, or resident in, the UK.
