ENGLAND TEAM SELECTION FOR THE BRITISH AND IRISH CROSS COUNTRY INTERNATIONAL 2024

This is the selection race for the England team to the British and Irish Masters Cross Country International, which will be held on Saturday 16th November 2024 in Billy Neill MBE Country Park, 341 Comber Rd, Belfast BT16 1RQ.  A map of the course is shown here

All athletes seeking selection MUST complete this form giving their details and performances for the current year.  Age groups will be based on age as of 16/11/2024.

This selection event on Saturday 28th September, is incorporated within the North Staffs cross country league fixture, and is open ONLY to paid-up members of the English Area Clubs of the British Masters Athletic Federation:
Eastern Masters (EMAC); Isle of Man Veterans (IoMVAC); Midland Masters (MMAC); North East Masters (NEMAA); Northern Masters (NMAC); Southern Counties Veterans (SCVAC); South West Veterans (SWVAC); Veterans AC (VAC).

The first four from the M35, M40, M45 & M50 age categories will be automatically selected (teams of six).
The first three from the W35 to W75+ and M55, M60, M65, M70 & M75 will be automatically selected (teams of four). The M80 category (team of 4) is a new category competing for individual medals only.
The remainder of the teams plus three reserves for each category will be selected by the area selectors immediately following the selection races by considering the information provided on the forms received.

Event Timetable

Race 1 – 13:30: 5km All Women and Men 65+
Race 2 – 14:15: 8km Men 35 to 64

Race numbers must be collected on the day from the selection race reception desk between 12.00 noon and 1.45 pm prompt

If you do not wish to compete in the trial race, you should still make an entry here but chose the event called "Not competing in trial race" and send in your application form for selection to the selector. representing your area club.
