The Cambs County Cross Country Championships scheduled for Sunday 7th January have been postponed due to a waterlogged course.
The Cambs AA Cross-country championships have now been rescheduled for Sunday January 21st at Priory park St Neots and the timetable is as originally published (see the Cambsathletics.org.uk website).
The entry website is now also open for entries by anyone who was unable to enter on the previous date due to other commitments or who wishes to now withdraw their entry due to prior commitments. Entries and withdrawals will close at midnight (23.59) on Sunday 14th January.
All athletes who had previously entered will be included unless they wish to withdraw because of prior commitments. It is appreciated that the event now clashes with the Folksworth 15, and we encourage Senior and Masters athletes who have entered Folksworth to support that event.
Any athletes who withdraw because of prior commitments will still be considered for Cambridgeshire selection based on other results. For that reason, only the first five finishers in each category will be automatically selected for the CAU Intercounty team, with the team managers selecting the additional athletes in each category.
Athletes wishing to withdraw their entry can do so by logging into their original entry on the entry website, and clicking through to the last screen, where there is a red button. That will give you the option to withdraw and we will be notified if you tick the box and then press exit. The County will refund the entry fee (excluding the card company charge of 50p) to all athletes who choose to withdraw unless willing to donate the entry fee to Cambs (see box in step 6).
Note – masters age group will be based on age on the new date of the competition
The Cambridgeshire championships is limited to Cambridgeshire athletes eligible by Birth residence or armed forces.
Athletes whose first claim club is not in Cambridgeshire but are eligible by birth or Residence are free to enter and specify/score for their 2nd claim club if it is in Cambs
