This year’s annual NI & Ulster Even Age Group Championships and Bobby Rea Cross Country will once again host the Northern Ireland International Cross Country, taking place at the Billy Neill MBE Country Park on Sunday 20th October 2024. 

The Bobby Rea Memorial Cross Country is held annually in memory of the former Chairman of the Athletics Northern Ireland, coach and founding member of Abbey AC, who passed away in November of 2006. The race is one of the fixtures that are part of the Athletics NI Cross Country League

Entry instructions

Bobby Rea race athletes - enter via the individual "enter here" entry link. 

Even Age Group team races - Team managers can enter and pay for teams via the "enter relay team" link. Once a team has been entered, please complete the "team declaration" form. Only the team managers who made the entry can declare their 6 runners and 2 reserves.

Even Age Group individuals - If you are not competing for a team, you can enter throught the individual "enter here" link.

There will be no Entries on the day, including for the Bobby Rea.

County Representation -

We will assume athletes will compete for the county their club is located in, unless we are otherwise notified by a team manager prior to race day. 

Age groups 

(age on 31st December 2024) Minimum age is 8.

Please note that the Age Group Championships U10- U18 is a closed championship, open to those in NI & Ulster only. 

a)         He/She was born in Northern Ireland or Ulster

b)         Either of his/her parents have been born in Northern Ireland or Ulster
