Bib collection
Please report to the club room to collect your bib number if you did not take part in the first two fixtures
If you already have a bib number there is no need to sign-in in the club room. The first point of signing in/ registering will be at the starts area for your track event or jumps/throwing area for your field event.
Start-lists
All athletes/parents should check the Start Lists via the tab above
By doing so, all athletes should know their start time, heat, lane number, etc.
Once the meet begins, this link will provide live results for both track and field events.
Track
- All athletes must report to the start area 10min before the scheduled start
Field
- It is athlete/parent/coach responsibility to ensure practice jumps/throws take place BEFORE the allotted competition start time. There should be officials at the site in advance of the start time
- It is recommended to be at the throws/jumps site approx 15min before the start time
- If there is a clash with another event, athletes MUST advise the field event officials
Long Jump / Javelin clash
- Those involved in both of these events should speak to the Long Jump Officials about the best time to go to Javelin. Both sets of officials will do their best to co-ordinate the young athletes to ensure they get all attempts.
Moving around the arena
- Athletes MUST NEVER enter the roped-off throwing area for javelin and discus. They should also avoid crossing the finish line during or before a race commences
Additional information below from Josh Allaway - NatWest International Island Games Co-ordinator for Athletics. This is for the attention of athletes in the U15 age group and above. This is particularly important if you are competing in the Long Jump, 1500m & 400m
Dear athletes
The upcoming Aztec T&F meet will integrate a few events that will be used as Island Games ‘test events’, which are Long Jump (U17+), 400m and 1,500m A Race.
Excluding U13's... all athletes, including those not involved in the test events, please note the following:
- All warm-ups will be carried out on the hockey pitch in trainers only. No spikes are to be worn on the hockey pitch
- All strides in spikes are to be completed on the back straight of the track, and the back straight can be accessed direct from the hockey pitch via the gate at the 50m mark of the back straight only
For the Long Jump (U17+), 400m and 1500m A Race, please note that we will be using a call room, and further details are noted below
- The Call Room will be in changing room 3, underneath the Garenne Stand
- The Call Room schedule is below, however please that you must be in the call room no later than the following times before your event:
- Long Jump – 45 minutes before event time
- 1500m – 25 minutes before event time
- 400m – 25 minutes before event time
For Long Jump, there will be 30 minutes allocated to completing warm-ups and measuring run-ups at the pit. 1500m and 400m will allow 10 minutes to prepare blocks and complete final strides before racing. For all events, there will be an introduction of the athletes in a style similar to what is intended for the Games.
