ONLINE ENTRIES HAVE NOW SHUT, BUT AS THIS IS A CHARITY EVENT AND WE ARE LOOKING TO MAXIMUM THE MONEY FOR THEM, WE HAVE A LIMITED NUMBER OF ENTRIES AVAILABLE ON THE DAY - JUST TURN UP.

IN TERMS OF RELAYS, WE WILL TAKE ENTRIES BY EMAIL OR ON THE DAY AND WILL BE ENCOURAGING PEOPLE TO JOIN IN WHAT SHOULD BE A LOT OF FUN.

Very sadly, Bob Lewis passed away in April.

His love of athletics is widely known by many, both in terms of his on track achievements and also his unrelenting support for all athletes that he both trained with and raced against.

It is an oft overused phrase, but literally no-one ever said a bad word about Bob.  As such we are holding an athletics meeting in his memory to remember this great man and raise money for his favourite charities.

We're honoured that Jane, Bob's wife, will be in attendance and she has said how fitting it is that this event is on the day that would have been their 10th wedding anniversary.

The theme of the meeting will be his favourite events and hopefully to celebrate some of his other loves in life.

The timetable for the meeting (all electronically timed)  will be as follows

12.30 400m
1.30 100m
2.40 Polylauf Relay (10 x 200m in teams of 4 - athletes to run any number of legs within this)
3.05 600m
3.35 4 x 100m
3.50 4 x 400m
4.15 "Cookie" relay (to celebrate Bob's love of both 400m running and his sweet tooth)

This event is a commemoration of Bob's athletics life and also a charity fundraiser.  All profits from the meeting will be split between Marie Curie and the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust.

Entry will be £10 per individual event and free for relays - although we would ask relay teams to make donations, which will be split between the charities.

Most races will be graded across all ages, so there is great competition for all, but we will hold some masters only races within this to honour Bob's contribution to Masters athletics.

The 100m races will be "RACE WITH THE WIND" - in other words, we'll run down the back straight for these if the home straight conditions are not favourable.

Entries are open.  If you have trouble with the relay entry, please email [email protected]
