ENDURANCE ELIMINATOR 21/08/21

Location – Queensway Stadium, Wrexham LL13 8UH

The Eliminator - the race begins with x number of athletes whose goal is to never get last. The competitors will battle it out to run laps of the track with a recovery period (1 minute) after each lap which begins immediately after the first finisher crosses the finish line. The last finisher to cross that line is eliminated. Thus, the next lap begins with one less competitor.

The Start - Each lap begins using a waterfall start where positions on the line are determined on a first-come-first-serve bases. There is no rule governing how many must be in each lane, or how many lanes must be filled. As long as each competitor starts the lap with his feet on the track and behind the start line they are legal. It is the responsibility of the athletes to be on the track and at the start line when each lap begins.

Recovery Times - The Starter gives athletes recovery time announcements with the last time announcement at 5 seconds after which a single command of "Go!" is given to start the lap.

Prizes – last 3 athletes remaining will be presented with a 1st 2nd 3rd place trophy in each race

Race 1 – u13’s Boys - 1pm

Race 2 – u13’s Girls - 1:25pm

Race 3 – u15’s Boys - 1:50pm

Race 4 – u15’s Girls - 2:15pm

Race 5 –  Senior Men & Senior Women - 2:40pm

Event Time 1pm-3pm

Prizes – last 3 athletes remaining will be presented with a 1st 2nd 3rd place trophy in each race.
