North Wales Virtual 5K Championships

Only Welsh Athletics affiliated athletes eligible and:

• i. Birth: born within the area covered by N.W.R.A.C.
• ii. Residence: Continuous current residence within the area covered by N.W.R.A.C. for at least 9 months.
• iii. Retention: An athlete may retain his/her existing qualification to represent N. Wales and compete in the N. Wales Regional Championship, provided that he/she has not represented another Region or County, nor competed in a different Regional or County Championship in the same year of competition.
• iv. Where an athlete competes for a club not based in Wales but does qualify on one of the above three criteria, they have to register with Welsh Athletics to be eligible. 

The following are the details of the race;

1) Date; Runs must take place and evidence uploaded to OpenTrack on either Saturday 24th or Sunday 25th October 2020.

2) Closing date for entries is Midnight on Sunday 18th October 2020 in order to give time for the organisers to confirm eligibility for medals.

3) The Run; The run must be 5 km at least on a road or similar surface (on a running track or treadmill will NOT be accepted). The start and finish should be within a half a mile of each other to insure fair and comparable courses. Runners must obey social distancing advice in the country that they run in.

4) Proof of performance must be uploaded before midnight on Sunday 25th October.

5) Championship medals, provided by NWRAC, will be awarded for the fastest 3 times, male and female, in the following categories; Under 15, Under 17, Under 20, Senior, 35-39 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+

6) The event is licensed by RunBritain.
